This is the exhibition of three artists of the young generation confronting the romantic baggage of contemporary culture. In a situation of particular social pressure and lack of optimistic perspective, enchanted spaces, shady wilderness of the forest, animal anxiety and mysterious gestures seem to promise more than a cold calculation of the contemporary world serving us a "loosing game". Hexenkraut is the German word for mysterious herb, literally a witchbane. Intuitively felt alienation of this word, straight from the alchemical repertoire, sounds in itself like a spell that is supposed to attract with its mystery, just like the amazing stories contained in the paintings of Brandt, Litawińska and Małek.
